The Argyle Jacket is normally worn at day events where the
Prince Charlie would be considered over dressed. The other
differences are that a belt and tie can be used instead of the bow
tie. It can, however, be worn at any function with appropriate
dress sporran and black bow tie and still be suitable.
Made with Scottish woven tweed in various colours. Includes a
five button vest.
To choose your fabric colour please look at the gallery of
images available, taking note of the colour name and code, then
choose this from the dropdown menu titled "Jacket Colour". Please
note that some colours may appear at first to have the same name
but will have a different code. The differences are as follows;
ARR denotes an Arrochar fabric, which has a thornproof weave, no
pattern and a weight of 17oz
CGE denotes a Cairngorme fabric which features a herringbone
weave, discernible check pattern and 16oz weight
CHE denotes a Cheviot fabric with a herringbone weave, (usually)
no pattern and a 16oz weight.
K means the fabric is a genuine Harris tweed fabric, in a medium
thickness.
