Around the 1830s this stunning brooch was found at Hunterston, Ayrshire. Made about AD700 it is a highly accomplished casting of silver, richly mounted with gold, silver and amber decoration. This brooch is a truly special object. It was probably made at a royal site such as Dunadd, Argyll.
This brooch is inspired by the exquisite Hunterston brooch. It is a perfect accessory to complete a classic Scottish outfit. Dimensions: 3 1/4" (8cm) x 2 3/4" (7cm)
